A Neutral & Calming Bathroom

Before

These lovely clients bought a little cottage on the lake as a vacation home. The husband works in commercial real estate and felt that they could handle the major renovation of this whole home. After they started on the exterior and replaced the windows, they realized that they were in over their head and called the designer. The home hadn’t been updated since the 70s, so it was in pretty bad shape. This very large master bath had a lot of wasted space. A small corner shower stall had enough room to be doubled in size. There were two vanities with little storage, which caused a problem. Overall, it was a very non-functioning bathroom.

After

This master bath in this vacation home needed a major overhaul. It was gutted and the project was started from scratch. The overall feel of the space is crisp and clean – we wanted to keep a fresh lake vibe in this lake home. Easy maintenance quartz was used for the countertops and classic white subway tile, with an accent tile in the niche, completed the look. A large walk-in shower was put in place of the corner shower stall, which allowed the clients to shower their young children after swimming in the lake. The coral walls were too overpowering.
