CPI INTERIORS
For this guest room, the clients requested a queen bed, a sitting area, a place for a television, and to address privacy issues with the transom windows.
A distressed wood shutter sheltered bed, dressed with a houndstooth custom bedding, became the inspiration for this room. Generously sized, whitewashed nightstands with distressed lime green ceramic lamps, flanked each side of the bed. An 8ft. x 11ft. hand carved, wool and silk-like, patterned rug demanded attention in this space. A distressed seven drawer dresser grounded the television. To warm the room and add seating, a tight back accent chair with a textured lime green fabric sits in the corner of the room. A wrought iron, branch style glass top accent table sit adjacent to the chair. Sitting on the table, a wooden carved lamp with a linen shade adds warmth to the room. An overscaled, abstract art piece placed between the windows pulls the colours together. A set of three, aged copper, rippled tins were hung above the bed to give height and a wow factor to the room. Motorized roller shades in a silver metallic fabric address privacy issues. Luxurious, rich apple green draperies give this room the finishing touch.
