An Ample Sized Master Bathroom

Before

This early 1990’s master bathroom was in much need of a makeover. The carpeting, wall to wall jetted tub, small shower, outdated tile and fixtures all had to go! A full renovation was in order; the clients wanted an updated vanity with solid surface top, heated tile floors, a nice large shower with a bench, new fixtures, a new tub, and so on. The look they desired was classic and somewhat traditional. The clients also loved the look of carrara marble and still desired a tub. The wife enjoys a little bling! Upscale finishes and a fresh pleasing look would do the trick.

After

A full tear-out renovation was needed to update this ample sized master bathroom. The overall palette was light with a creamy carrara look in the porcelain tile for the floor and shower. Heated floors were included. The new taller double vanity is a cherry wood stain, preferred by the client to match the master bedroom furniture. The vanity top, shower bench seat, and threshold are in Fantasy Brown granite, a beautiful and neutral linear pattern. The swimming pool tub was replaced with a freestanding tub. Plumbing fixtures are in elegant polished nickel in a traditional styling. The lighting is in a champagne finish with dropped crystals and the walls are a light neutral. Crown moulding was added as well. The wall behind the tub is a vertical eclipse pattern in metallic tone on tone. The colour navy is a favourite and was added as an accent in the global patterned area rugs, fabric roman shade, art, and upholstered bench. The mirrored frames and accents add the desired upscale sparkle to the space. Touches of the client’s European travel are found around the room and add personalization.
