After
By changing where the television was in the room, we were able to increase the seating and provide a cozy conversation area. The television (not shown) is now across from the fireplace, enabling my clients to have two full-sized sofas across from each other.
The built-ins around the fireplace were designed with storage and display in mind. The lower cabinets hide board games and toys, while the clients’ beautiful collection of aboriginal art is prominently displayed on the upper shelves. The oil-rubbed bronze sconces provided great accent light and contrast to this focal wall.
Texture was added with the comfortable saddle leather sofas and the raw wood of the coffee table and mantle. All the elements in the room are both family-friendly and stylish, creating a great space for kids and adults alike.
