The CPI Design Process

First Appointment

The first appointment is an in-home consultation where we get to know each other and ask a lot of questions.

•What is your style?

•How do you use your kitchen?

•Who uses your kitchen?

•What is working, what isn’t?

•What kind of appliances are you thinking of?

•What is your budget?

•What accessories would you like?

•Pull-outs, Magic Corners, Garbage/Recycling …

•Are new window treatments needed?

•Do you need furniture? Stools, kitchen table …

•Are you wanting to renovate your bathrooms as well?

•When do you want this renovation to start?

•What will our service fee be for this project?

Second Appointment

The second appointment is a site visit with your designer and contractor.

•Meet your contractor (provided and vetted by CPI Interiors)

•Contractor determines the feasibility of the preliminary ideas

•The designer and contractor take precise measurements for plans

•Feel free to ask more questions!

Design Phase

The design phase is when your designer comes back to the CPI Interiors design studio and starts to make your vision become a reality!

•All wish list items are reviewed

•Layout is determined with functionality in mind

•Design elements are selected and checked for availability (hardware, plumbing fixtures, tile, lighting, furniture, etc …)

•CAD drawings are prepared

Presentation

The presentation is when your designer comes back to your home to present all of the selections that she has made for your project. This appointment is typically 2-3 weeks after the first appointment

•The designer presents the CAD drawing and all design elements to the client

•All costs are presented (design elements, counter material and contractor fees)

•Deposits are collected and contractor services are secured

After the presentation

•Schedule is set, all items are ordered

•Items are delivered at the beginning of the renovation

•Ongoing assistance provided during renovation from your designer

•Follow up at completion with designer and contractor
