Margaret Shisko - Interior Design Consultant
Margaret has a Diploma in Interior Decoration from Algonquin College and was the 2015 recipient of the Canadian Decorator’s Association (CDECA) Ambassador’s Scholarship Award, for her work in support of the industry. She has a Master’s Degree in Politics from Waikato University in New Zealand and an Honours Bachelor in Social Sciences from the University of Ottawa.
Margaret has returned to Ottawa, and launched a second career, after living and working abroad for over twenty years. The cities she has called home, including Riyadh, Paris, Tehran, Washington, D.C., and Quito, have informed her style and approach to interior decorating. She draws upon these rich cultural influences to create unique spaces for her clients.
She believes that you should live with what you love, honour your personal history, and surround yourself with positive memories and inspiration, whether from a family heirloom, a favourite painting, or an obscure collection which may only have meaning for you. She works closely with her clients to create spaces which are comfortable, functional and aesthetically pleasing, but which also reflect the essence of who they are.
