Project Overview:

This young family was completely stuck on coming up with a layout for their family room that accomplished everything they wanted to achieve, and where to find quality items and ensure they stayed on budget once they had a plan. They also wanted to find unique items to compliment their existing art and beautiful area rug and art collection.

Design Solution:

The layout was designed to showcase the beautiful new fireplace and to provide a great space for family movie nights for this family of 5.

Two comfortable leather sofas were selected to provide plenty of seating while also creating a great conversation zone. The television was moved to the wall opposite the fireplace on a large entertainment unit that did double duty for storage for board games.

Reclaimed wood was brought in due to its warmth and because it is not too precious to be used by three young children. The unique coffee table mirrored their unique art collection and provided a great space for a bowl of popcorn and a game of Scrabble.

Bookcases on either side of the fireplace provide a space to showcase items that should be kept out of reach. This enables the fireplace to be the focal point it deserves to be.
