Project Overview:

This active family was ready to update their builder’s kitchen to something with more functionality and that better reflected their style. They were ready to let go of the table and chairs and wanted to incorporate seating at the island.

The walk-in pantry had a lot of wasted space so we replaced it with great corner solutions and a tall pantry with rollouts. As requested, we extended the island to include seating for 4 and more usable storage. This configuration is much more functional than the previous table and chairs.

Bringing the upper cabinets closer to the ceiling emphasizes the room’s height. We made the ceiling a beautiful accent by covering it with shiplap. This also enabled us to add better lighting in the kitchen and family room.

We chose the porcelain floor tile to coordinate with their powder room makeover which featured beautiful cool grays, blues and blacks. The backsplash tile was a fun find that adds loads of personality to the otherwise neutral kitchen.

Our clients love their new space!

What our client said:

We absolutely love the design. We could not have asked for a kitchen that is more like our style! Thank you so much for that. The best part of your service was not having to shop around for matching floors, counters, etc. I would recommend your design service to friends!
