Gloucester is part of Ottawa, Ontario. Established in 1792, it was originally known as Township B. Today, the suburb has a population of over 150,000. Residents enjoy the lifestyle it allows with its outdoor attractions, museums and shopping centres.

Gloucester Resources:

Gloucester Historical Society – The Gloucester Historical Society records the history of the former Township and City of Gloucester. Located in the lower level of the former Gloucester Township Hall, built in 1962, the Society’s office includes the Grace Johnston History Room, which houses a library of books mostly on local history.

Pine Grove Trail – The Pine Grove is the largest forest in the Greenbelt and features a mixture of tree plantations and natural forests. The forest is an important plant and wildlife habitat. The trail provides visitors with great visibility of the trees from the region through a series of interpretation panels.

Canada Science and Technology Museum – The Canada Science and Technology Museum invites visitors to discover, play, and experience how people—through curiosity, observation, and creativity—have made Canada and continue to shape its future. With its 11 exhibits, the museum provides an excellent learning experience.
