Project Overview:

These clients were merging two homes into this one, and found that many of their pieces were not mixing well. Our clients desired a fresh, contemporary look—one that would endure for years to come and breathe new life into the space. The outdated fireplace was becoming an eyesore and needed to be overhauled to bring their vision to life. The room felt closed off and lacked the welcoming ambiance they desired.

Design Solution:

The reconstruction of the fireplace served as a pivotal transformation, completely altering the space and setting the stage for their new, inviting space. The sleek slab porcelain wall finish paired with the addition of a new linear gas fireplace provided a striking backdrop for the entire room.

To further enhance the updated look, we introduced more lighting to illuminate the space, brightened the colour palette to create an airy atmosphere, and rearranged the furniture to optimize views from every angle. The new furniture arrangement now comfortably accommodates seating for six, with a designated quiet reading area featuring a chair and ottoman that seamlessly integrates into the main grouping for additional seating as needed.
