This 20 year old bathroom had long lost its appeal to the clients. The colour scheme felt overwhelming, the layout was stuck in the past, and the space felt cramped. Our main challenge was to create a more spacious feel and incorporate a larger shower, all while navigating around two imposing skylights and an inconveniently positioned large window.
Design Solution:
The placement of the skylights posed some challenges in determining the shower’s location. However, by swapping the positions of the vanity and shower, we managed to achieve our goal. The width of the freestanding bathtub was somewhat constrained due to the space needed for the shower, but everything fell into place beautifully. Removing the bidet allowed us to install a spacious double sink vanity, complete with ample storage provided by a floating tower and drawers, maximizing the efficiency of the space.
