This jack and jill bathroom was dated and uninviting, however it had great natural light from a skylight. The homeowners share this bathroom with their children so it needed to be functional and inviting.
Design Solution:
Since we weren’t able to change the layout, we concentrated on creating a bright and clean space with a bold pop of colour. Large textured floor tile was used as a clean backdrop for the bold teal accent tile. The deep colour was chosen to expand the space. Black accents were introduced for contrast. Adding the large mirror helped to bounce around the natural light.
The walnut vanity adds much needed storage and there is a niche in the half wall in the shower to hide all the necessary products. The custom glass shower was a must to make the shower feel as large as possible.
These clients now love their new bathroom and they find it much easier to share than before!
