Project Overview:

This client had come to us seeking an expanded kitchen with usable workspace and storage. The plan involved removing a supporting wall to facilitate the expansion of the space, a crucial step in achieving the desired openness. A key consideration was to seamlessly integrate a dedicated work-from-home area into the kitchen layout, ensuring it harmonized with the overall aesthetic.

Given the clients’ frequent entertaining, the inclusion of a bar area with a secondary sink was a top priority. However, accommodating these requests within the confines of a modestly sized home required careful planning and strategic design decisions.

Design Solution:

We designed a space that maximizes every inch of usable area, ensuring smooth traffic flow from the front door through to the backyard patio. Guided by the client’s love of yellow, black, and natural tones, we selected colour choices to accentuate their preferences, infusing warmth and personality into the design.
Preserving the existing hardwood flooring and refinishing it allowed for a seamless transition from room to room, maintaining continuity and enhancing the overall flow. To further enhance the cohesive atmosphere, the new dining furniture was carefully chosen to complement the existing wood tones.

What our client said:

If I could give CPI Interiors six stars I would! We met Catherine through a kitchen webinar she hosted last October. Catherine saw the potential in our kitchen right away, came up with a design and completely changed our kitchen! We are so delighted with her choice of colours, layout, tile, cupboards, handles, faucets, window treatments and then furnishings too. Her contractor was awesome, the tradespeople were great and believe it or not, everything was finished on the earlier end of the estimate! How often does that happen? The scheduling and communication with us was perfect. Catherine and her team will always be our first go-to for anything renovation-wise or decorating. Thank you again, Catherine!
