Project Harwick

Location: Bells Corners, ON

Project Overview:

Years ago the homeowners combined two bedrooms into this principal bedroom and added free-standing closets on either side. When they decided to renovate the majority of the main floor, they added this room to the scope of work to ensure it flowed with the rest of the renovation.

Design Solution:

The first step in this bedroom makeover was to determine that the existing layout was the best solution. Once that was established we selected a beautiful new king-size bed frame with matching nightstands in a rich black wood finish to complement the new engineered hardwood. A large and cozy area rug was brought in to ground the layout and provide a soft place to land when getting out of bed. Inspired by their beautiful piece of art, we brought in natural linen bedding and a blue throw blanket. The wall colour was chosen to create a serene and calm space. Next on the list was to update their closets so we designed a locally-made custom solution to use every inch of space.

What our client said:

The process of a designer suggesting furniture (all of it!) and artwork, area rugs, lamps and light fixtures was an experience and one that we truly weren’t sure of at first.  The detail that Natalie adds to this process to be sure that everything is exactly what we wanted, from comfort to style was fantastic.

Needless to say we would highly recommend Natalie Cox to anyone who is thinking of doing a complete home renovation or one single room.  You will be so happy you made the same decision we did. ~ Barb Bowie
