Project Overview:

This condo was very neutral and dated, and our client purchased it with the intent to transform it into a clean, fresh, colourful home.  She brought only her sofa and entertainment unit with her and we sourced new modern pieces to coordinate.

Design Solution:

Our client wanted a modern mid-century inspired space and she loved the colour teal. We decided to go bold and chose teal cabinetry for the kitchen. To balance the rich colour we added lots of texture in crisp white. By removing the curved wall, the kitchen was now part of the main living space, creating a wonderful space for entertaining. We updated the flooring throughout to be a beautiful walnut-coloured luxury vinyl plank. This was carried throughout the entire condo. The ceiling was dropped to add pot lights and a dining room chandelier. To bring the colour to the adjoining family room, we commissioned a large landscape that contained all of our client’s favourite colours. The artist even included the exact colour of the kitchen cabinets.

We completed the space with custom radiator covers, beautiful textured blinds for privacy and soft sheers to frame the windows. The dining room features a light and airy glass table with comfortable modern chairs creating a great space for a dinner party. The iridescent wallpaper does a great job of adding texturing and capturing the light. Lastly, we brought in a stunning wool area rug to ground the living space in this open concept home.

Our client was thrilled with the end result!
