Project: Rumford

Location: Orleans, ON

Project Overview:

The clients were faced with a main floor that was dark, disconnected, and outdated. The kitchen lacked the storage they needed and didn’t reflect their style. They dreamed of a space that could offer more efficient storage solutions and a more modern aesthetic — one that would fit their busy lifestyle and feel fresh and inviting.

Design Solution:

To address the kitchen’s lack of storage and outdated feel, we completely revamped the space with custom cabinetry, sleek countertops, and smart storage solutions like pull-out drawers in the pantries. The design incorporated modern finishes that elevated the space, while also maximizing functionality with a more efficient layout. The kitchen now not only looks fresh and stylish, but it also supports the clients’ busy routines with ample storage and improved workflow.

To enhance the flow between the dining room and the family room, we removed walls and opened up sightlines, allowing for a smoother transition between the spaces. This shift created a more open, airy feeling that invites natural light in and encourages a sense of cohesion throughout the main floor.

What our client said:

Natalie pulled together our myriad of ideas, thoughts, and wishes and formed them into a cohesive design that helped us visualize our dream space. At every turn our questions were answered and our concerns addressed in a very timely manner.  Best of all there were no surprises with the budget, and the project was finished on time.
