A Warm, Storage Filled Study

Before

This long time client decided to turn their guest room into a study. She aspired to have plenty of display shelves for all of her keepsakes. They also requested plenty of storage for their personal paperwork.

After

The inspiration in this space was the quatrefoil black, grey, and silver wallpaper.Itss presence makes a huge statement in the monotone room. To allow our client to show off her keepsakes we placed a hutch with a file cabinet in a beautiful driftwood finish with silver highlights. The opened crisscross sides gave a sense of lightness to the room. Placed in the middle of the room lies a weathered wood writing desk that has a unique concrete top. To soften the room we placed a thick grey shag rug under the desk. We completed the room by using our clients existing sofa table, chair, floor lamp, nesting ottomans and keepsakes. Our last quest was to bring in some reflection and bling with an outstanding piece of map art on top of a mirror. This space transformed from a guest room to a beautifully engineered study where our client could display her keepsakes and has an abundance of storage
